The Unity CrossFit Games brought together four juvenile corrections facilities and over 20 law enforcement partners to enjoy community and competition. These teams of 3, two students and one law enforcement partner, competed to be the fittest team and to challenge themselves to grow mentally and physically.

By partnering law enforcement with the youth, we sought to bridge the gap between justice-involved youth and the individuals involved with the justice system. Teamwork, conversation, and the bond build over burpees and thrusters shows these youth that we are rooting for them, cheering them on to lives of hope and purpose.

Day after day, our coaches show up and these youth choose to participate in classes, even when it challenges them. This consistency proves its fruit in our competitions and gave the over 100 spectators a chance to celebrate the amazing accomplishments of our Expanding Horizons athletes.
